Sign Repair
When a business sign stops working, it costs you visibility every day it stays dark. Pop Signs repairs commercial signs throughout Washington, from lighting and electrical failures to cracked faces, damaged channel letters, and weather damage. Our team includes a licensed journeyman electrician, so illuminated sign repairs are diagnosed and fixed by someone qualified to work on the electrical side, not just swap parts and hope.

Common Sign Problems We Repair
Most sign problems start small: one letter goes dark, a section flickers, or a face cracks in a windstorm. Left alone, they usually get worse and more expensive. These are the issues we are called for most often.
Lights Out or Flickering
Dark sections, flickering letters, and dim cabinets are usually caused by failed LED modules, power supplies, older fluorescent lamps and ballasts, loose connections, or a faulty timer or photocell. We trace the actual cause instead of replacing parts at random.
Electrical and Wiring Issues
Tripping breakers, water intrusion, corroded connections, and damaged wiring are safety problems, not just cosmetic ones. Electrical sign repairs are handled by our licensed electrical team and done to code.
Cracked or Damaged Faces
Wind, impact, vandalism, and years of sun can crack or discolor sign faces. We fabricate replacement faces in-house so they fit the existing cabinet correctly. If you are also changing branding, see our sign refacing service.
Channel Letter Repair
Individual letters going dark, damaged returns or trim cap, and wiring problems inside the raceway are common with older channel letter signs. Most can be repaired letter by letter without replacing the whole set.
Weather and Structural Damage
Loose mounting, rusted fasteners, shifted cabinets, and storm damage on pole, pylon, and monument signs need prompt attention. We assess whether the structure is sound and what it will take to make it safe again.
Aging Lighting Systems
When an older cabinet keeps failing, repeated part replacements may not be the best use of your budget. In those cases we can walk you through a lighting upgrade so the sign is brighter and more reliable going forward.
How Our Repair Service Works
1. Tell Us What’s Wrong
Call 425-745-0760 or send a repair request with the sign location and what you are seeing. Photos, including at night for lighting problems, help us prepare.
2. Inspection and Troubleshooting
We inspect the sign on site, test the electrical and lighting components, and identify the actual cause of the problem.
3. Clear Quote Before Work
You get a clear explanation and a quote, and nothing is done until you approve it. If a repair does not make financial sense, we will tell you.
4. Repair and Test
We complete the repair, test the sign, and make sure it is operating properly before we leave the site.
Repair, Restore, or Replace?
Not every sign problem should be solved the same way. A sign with one failed power supply needs a repair. A sign that works but looks faded, dented, and dated may be a better candidate for sign restoration. A sign with new branding on a sound structure is usually a refacing job. And when a sign is unsafe or failing everywhere at once, a new channel letter or cabinet sign can cost less over time than repeated repairs.
Because we design, fabricate, install, and service signs, we do not have a reason to push one option over another. We will recommend what actually makes sense for your sign and your budget.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you repair signs that Pop Signs did not build?
- Yes, in most cases. We repair commercial signs built by other companies. After inspecting the sign, we will tell you whether a repair is practical or whether parts, condition, or safety make another option the better choice.
How much does sign repair cost?
- It depends on what failed, the type and size of the sign, the parts required, and whether a lift or bucket truck is needed to reach it. Repair work is quoted and approved before any work is performed, so there are no surprises.
Is my sign repair covered by warranty?
- Signs fabricated by Pop Signs include our one-year Sign Guard warranty on covered defects. Electrical components are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty for replacement parts. After the warranty period, we continue to service and repair the signs we install at standard service rates. If you think an issue may be covered, contact us before attempting any repairs.
What types of signs do you repair?
- We repair illuminated and non-illuminated commercial signs, including channel letters, cabinet and lightbox signs, pole and pylon signs, monument signs, blade and projecting signs, and interior signs.
Do I need a permit to repair my sign?
- It depends on the scope of work. Like-for-like part replacements often do not, while electrical alterations, structural work, or changes to the sign itself can require permits depending on the city. If a permit is needed, we will let you know and handle it as part of the job.
Should I repair or replace my sign?
- If the structure is sound and the problem is isolated, repair is usually the most cost-effective option. If the sign has multiple failing systems, safety concerns, or outdated branding, restoration, refacing, or replacement may be a better investment. We will give you an honest recommendation either way.
